Eric Schmid joined Atlas in 2025 and serves as vice president, legal affairs.

Prior to joining Atlas, Eric represented emerging companies and venture capital investment funds in the life sciences sector at Cooley LLP. While at Cooley, Eric advised companies and investment funds over the full course of their life cycle, including general corporate and strategic matters, equity financings and exits through private sales.

Eric earned a JD from Boston College Law School, magna cum laude, and a B.A. in Psychology from Wake Forest University. Eric is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In his spare time Eric is an avid traveler, NBA and premier league soccer fan, and golfer.
