Jared is CSO at Matchpoint Therapeutics. Prior to Matchpoint, he was SVP, Drug Discovery at LifeMine Therapeutics, focused on development of a unique engine for identification of target-directed natural products from the fungal biosphere. Before that, Jared was at Merck and Schering-Plough where he held positions of increasing responsibility while drug hunting in neuroscience, immuno-oncology, and oncology. He led or contributed to multiple discovery and early development teams that discovered and advanced seven compounds into clinical trials, including ulevostinag, a STING agonist that progressed to Phase 2 for immuno-oncology, and verubecestat, a BACE inhibitor that progressed to Phase 3 for Alzheimer’s disease. He is a co-inventor and co-author of more than 110 patents and publications. Jared has a PhD in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Chemistry from Williams College.
