Investment Team
Justin is a senior associate at Atlas Venture where he invests in and builds companies focused on developing novel therapeutics. Prior to joining Atlas, he was a senior associate at MRL Venture Funds, the corporate venture arm of Merck & Co., and was a senior manager within the Transactions and Early Innovation Partnering teams at Johnson and Johnson. In these roles, Justin led and supported venture investments, licenses, and acquisitions across multiple therapeutic areas.
Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, he was a principal scientist at GRO Biosciences, where he led projects to develop enhanced protein therapeutics and enzymes using non-standard amino acids. Justin received his Ph.D. in biology as a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow at Harvard Medical School in the lab of George Church. Outside of work, Justin enjoys bouldering, sport climbing, skiing, and spending time with his wife and dog.
