A member of the Atlas team since 2021, Sarah Coughlin serves as the firm’s senior director, human resources. She develops and delivers solutions to support the HR needs of Atlas start-ups and portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Atlas, Sarah Coughlin worked as the director of human resources at Constellation Pharmaceuticals, initially from 2008 through 2015, where she focused on building the culture of and establishing the societal norms of a nascent biotech, and then returning in 2019 as a HR business partner focusing on evolving the culture and establishing diversity, equity, inclusion and engagement programs. During her time away from Constellation, Sarah was the inaugural head of HR at Hollister Staffing and, prior to that, one of the first employees at Fulcrum Therapeutics where she focused on operations and hr.

Sarah received a BA in Spanish with minors in Italian and sociology from Fairfield University. She is also a certified yoga instructor.

Outside of work Sarah can be found walking in Charlestown with her adored dog, Georgia. She is also a lover of music, salt water and golden hour cocktails on the beach with friends and family. Sarah believes that change is a great thing and has a personal commitment to travel to at least one new place each quarter. She refuses to clap when a plane lands.
