Mike Forkel joined Atlas in 2017 and serves as vice president of finance.

Previously, he was the controller at both Advanced Technology Ventures (ATV) and Lightstone Ventures. In these roles, Mike managed all facets of financial reporting and operations while providing strategic tax planning and compliance expertise.

Earlier in his career, Mike was a tax manager in the Asset Management Group at Ernst & Young, overseeing compliance and advisory work for large private equity, venture capital, and fund of funds clients. Mike earned a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross and an M.B.A. from Boston College. He is a CPA in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Off the clock, Mike enjoys exploring the New England coast, playing VERY novice golf, and spending time with his wife, three young kids, and an aging but surprisingly sprightly chocolate lab.
